I am a Registered Nurse Executive with over 35 years of extensive experience in clinical nursing, medical-surgical nursing, ICU nursing, nephrology nursing, and health plan operations at the executive level.

A graduate of The University of Alabama, with a Doctor of Nursing Practice, I have national certifications in nephrology nursing, case management, and advanced nurse executive.

I am passionate about improving patient outcomes and have sought to achieve this in every aspect of my career. As a past national president of the American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA), I gained leadership experience and honed my advocacy skills. I have continued my mission to promote healthcare education through public speaking engagements and advocacy.

As a 24-year breast cancer survivor, my personal and professional life has taught me to value and prioritize patient-centered care. I am excited about helping healthcare professionals provide quality care to their patients.

My
Story

I always knew that nursing was the path for me. When I started my clinical nursing career over 35 years ago, little did I know that it would lead me to where I am today. My specialty areas are Med-Surg, nephrology, oncology, and case management. As a survivor of breast cancer for over 20 years, I understand the challenges that patients and their families face during difficult times and the provider delivery side of healthcare.

My extensive background in the nursing industry, as a doctor of nursing practice (DNP), has allowed me to work with several Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 start-ups and health plan clinical turnarounds, making me a sought-after professional in my field. It is an honor to share my expertise as an author, facilitator, editor, speaker, and mentor.
